Flora is vice-president of Zona Maya Mission Ministries. She is a native Mayan Indian from Senor. She is also an interperter for ZMMM. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and the Mayan language. She loves to cook, sew hi'pil (native Mayan dresses) and make jewerly in her free time. One of her favorite things to do is cook. Anyone who has eaten Mama Flora's cooking knows what we are talking about. Flora is self taught, and can cook anything from Mayan Indian dishes to Tex-Mex to Southern dishes like homemade biscuits and gravy. She oversees all the cooking for all our hosted events for ZMMM. She is a wonderful hostess and caregiver. Everyone calls her "Mama Flora" because that is who she is to so many people. Don't worry about food when you come to the Zona Maya, because Mama Flora will feed ya! She has a witty personality and sarcastic sense of humor, but she is also an amazing prayer warrior/ counselor / and friend. She also oversees all the Women's & Deliverance ministry both in Meixoc and stateside at her home church, La Fuente- Heights. Apart from them she also manages the Zona Maya Mission house in Senor. Flora hopes to write a cookbook to pass on to her grand-children someday.
